An Intimate Backyard Wedding in Orlando, Fl

Location
Desiray and Tyler happened to have access to a gorgeous property located in Orlando Florida that was perfect for hosting a backyard wedding. In Florida heat is almost always an issue but luckily Desiray and Tyler thought of this and chose to have their wedding in the fall which made the temperature enjoyable. The logistics of planning a backyard wedding should be at the forefront of your priorities. If you don't have the space then how can you possibly have a wedding? Luckily, there are ways to mitigate not having enough space such as tents for the backyard, portable bathroom facilities, and even portable catering solutions. If you have enough space for your ceremony and reception the most likely you can make it work, you can even transform your ceremony location into your reception if you have somewhere for the guests to go during cocktail hour. In Desiree and Tyler's backyard wedding they had the perfect amount of space to have their ceremony and reception in the backyard but in separate locations.
Getting ready
Do you want to have a first look? How about a first touch? Will you be doing an exchange of letters? Do you have rooms for both the bride and groom to get ready and or will you be getting ready at a separate location? These are all things to take into consideration and will help guide you on whether or not a backyard wedding is for you. Desiray and Tyler got ready inside their home and had adequate space for both parties to get ready and to do a letter exchange. Their home featured many side doors to the outside that we used to avoid seeing each other and the guests. We certainly don't want to dissuade anyone from having a backyard wedding but we want you to know exactly what challenges you may face so that your wedding goes exactly how you want it.
Ceremony and reception
One of the many advantages of a backyard wedding is the intimate nature of the ceremony. Surrounded by your closest friends and family, in a location that’s special to you! Your ceremony may not even need a microphone for the officiant! We absolutely adore backyard weddings for this reason! When it comes to the reception the number one thing to consider is sound. Depending on your neighborhood and city ordinances, you may need a permit to party-on until the evening.
Hire a planner
One thing that often takes couples by surprise is that you will most likely still need a planner! In fact, even more so with backyard weddings because you will undoubtedly face more creative challenges when figuring out the logistics. Hiring a planner can make the difference between wanting to pull your hair out and enjoying the wedding planning process.
